Snake and mouse

This is a handmade wooden sculpture I made from old wood, aged and twisted over time — the kind of thing you’d find in a quiet village garden or an old barn. It’s a snake and a mouse, one of a kind, with a story that’s been passed down through years of weather and hands. I found the wood in a local shed in south-queensferry, Scotland, and just went with it — no fancy tools, no factory finish. It’s not perfect, it’s not polished, but it’s honest. I’ve kept it in my place for years, just sitting there, quiet. I don’t know what it means, but I think it’s about balance — the snake and the mouse, coexisting. I’m not selling it to be trendy or flashy — just letting it go. It’s worth £27, but that’s not what matters. It’s just something I made, and now I’m sharing it.
