I’ve had this caravan for a few years now, parked at a lakeside site in Stanhope, County Durham. It’s a solid three-bedroom unit with double glazing and electric heating — the interior was fully updated last year: new carpets, new lino, and the sofa was reupholstered. The pitch is right across from the main complex, with a grassy area at the back, which is handy for relaxing or just kicking back.

The site runs from 1st March to 3rd January, and it’s mostly weekends from mid-November through to Christmas/New Year — after that, you can use it 24/7. No age limit on caravans, so it’s been a great fit for my family. There’s plenty going on at the park — from events to local activities, and the owner runs discounts on food, drinks, and paid activities.

I’m hoping to sell it before the end of August to get some of the 2025 site fees back. If that doesn’t work out, I’ll be looking to sell it in October. It’s worth noting it’s priced at £6,300 — but I’m not pushing that, just sharing the details in case anyone’s interested. I’m not looking for a quick sale, just someone who might actually use it and appreciate the location.
