So, I’ve been keeping this car for a few years now — it’s a 2024 Volvo XC90 Recharge Plus with the T8 AWD plug-in hybrid powertrain. It’s got both electric and petrol modes, so you can go fully electric for short trips or switch to petrol when you need more range. The dark exterior and matt tech grey interior give it a solid, premium look, and it’s got that classic Volvo feel — clean, safe, and thoughtful.

I’ve driven it mostly in the countryside around Appin, Argyll and Bute, and it’s been pretty reliable. The 12.3-inch driver display and 9-inch centre screen are easy to use, and I’ve got Apple CarPlay and Google Assistant set up — the Google Maps and Play Store are included for four years, which is a nice touch.

It’s got all the smart bits: adaptive cruise, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, cross traffic alert, and even a 360-degree camera. The seats are comfy — I’ve got power-adjustable ones with memory settings, and the heated seats are a godsend on cold days. The cabin is well insulated, with a four-zone climate system and air purifier, and there’s even a remote pre-clean feature.

Inside, it’s all leather and textured finishes — the headlining is blonde, and there’s a bit of metal mesh decor to give it some visual depth. The rear seats have power adjustments and fold down easily, which is great for trips with kids or when you’re hauling gear.

It’s got a full set of safety features — dual-stage airbags, knee airbag, seat belt pretensioners, and even a safety passenger airbag cut-off switch. The front and rear lights are full LED, and the headlights have a rain sensor. There’s also a home charging cable (7m), a mobile charging cable (10A), and a handy grocery bag holder.

I didn’t get the alcohol lock software — it’s not available in the UK, so that’s not a dealbreaker. I’ve kept it well-maintained and only used it for regular driving, not extreme use.

I’m not selling it to get rich — I just needed to move on and found a better fit for my needs. The car’s been in great condition, and I’ve kept it spotless. If you're looking for something that’s practical, reliable, and just feels right — this one’s a solid choice.
