Ajs Digita 50 2016 50cc Scooter Project
Description
So, I’ve got this 2016 Ajs Digita 50cc scooter — it’s a real project bike, not a showroom model. It’s been running, actually, just not for long. I got it to start with a jump pack and a bit of spray — it fired up fine, motor sounded okay but definitely loud, especially with the exhaust that’s snapped. I took a few pictures to show the damage, and the rest of it is as it is — no hiding from the flaws. The tyres are both fine, brakes are solid, and the bike has had five owners since new. The MOT expired back in May 2025 — just ran out of it. Keys are included, and it’s got a clear HPI and V5. There’s some panel work, a bit of paint marks, but nothing major. The motor’s not a problem in theory, just needs a good clean and some carb work to get it running smoothly.
I bought this to work on, not to ride. It’s a bit of a chunky project — I’m not looking to sell it for a quick ride, more for someone who’s into fixing things and wants a real, honest-to-goodness classic 50cc. If you’re someone who knows how to tinker with these things and aren’t expecting a ready-to-go bike, this could be a fun one to get your hands on.
It’s based in Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, so if you’re around or planning to pick it up, just let me know. I can send over a quote for delivery — no fancy marketing, just a real, honest price.
I’ve been working on a few of these over the years, and I’ve seen how much of a mess some of them can be — this one’s not perfect, but it’s got a real character and potential. I’m not selling it to someone who’s just looking for a quick ride or wants to use it on the road without doing any work. If you’re up for the challenge, and you’re not rushing, I’d love to hear from you.
Let me know if you’ve got any questions — I’ll answer them properly, no fluff. And if you’re not 100% sure you’re ready for a project bike, maybe hold off. These things can surprise you, and I don’t want to end up with someone who’s disappointed.
Just message me — I’m happy to chat.
