2018 Mini Cooper S 2.0 JCW Body Kit – Front End Damage, Starts and Drives

Hey there – just a quick note about this 2018 Mini Cooper S 2.0 JCW with the body kit. It’s been sitting in my garage in cornhill-on-tweed, Northumberland, and I’ve been thinking about what to do with it.

It starts up and drives fine – that’s the only thing I can confirm. The front end took a hit, so the body kit is damaged, but the car’s still running. It’s got 18” alloy wheels, climate control, black interior, and it’s fully loaded – everything you’d expect from a JCW.

I don’t know how much it’s worth, but I’m not selling it for a big price – it’s just something I’ve had in the back of my mind for a while. The actual value is £5,805, but that’s not really relevant here. What matters is that it’s not road-ready right now – it’s been through an insurance claim and needs full repairs before it can legally be driven on public roads.

If you’re looking at this, I’d really recommend bringing a mechanic or a car engineer to take a proper look. I can’t guarantee the engine or gearbox – they’re both damaged, and nothing’s been tested beyond starting and driving. The car won’t pass a full MOT until it’s properly fixed.

The car’s been through a claim, so there might be some "HPi Clear" marks, but that doesn’t mean it’s safe or complete. You’ll need to do your own check on HPi and make sure it’s compliant.
