9 Vintage 1960s Beano Records Children’s Story LPs

These are the 9 original 1960s Beano Records children’s story LPs – I’ve had them since I was a kid, back in the late 60s when I was just a little boy. I remember the colouring-in pictures on the back (you can see one in the photo), and how much I loved listening to the stories told by famous actors with real orchestral music.

They were made by Beano Records, a London-based company back in the day, and only 30 were ever pressed – 24 of those were released under the Beano name. Most people don’t know about this, which is why I’m sharing them now.

The vinyls are in decent shape, stored upright for years in a solid case, so no warping. Each one has the inner sleeve too – extra protection. I’ve kept them safe and tidy, never touched or played much since.

I’m not selling them for a lot – just £4.50 total – because I’m not going to use them again, and I just wanted to pass them on to someone who might actually enjoy them.

They’re not super common, and the ones I’ve got were from the original batch. If you’re into vintage kids’ records or just curious about 60s British pop culture, these might be a fun find.
