2017 BMW 3 Series 2.0L Plug-in Hybrid 4-door Saloon
Description
So, I’ve had this 2017 BMW 3 Series for a few years now — it’s one of those cars that just feels right when you’re driving it. It’s a 2.0L petrol/electric hybrid, so it’s not just a regular petrol car — it runs on both electric and petrol, and I’ve only done about 52k miles on it. That’s pretty low for a car this age, and it’s been well looked after. The 8-speed automatic is smooth, no jerky shifts, and the hybrid setup gives you that quiet electric drive when you’re just cruising around town. I’ve noticed it’s actually quite efficient — I’ve seen it hit 134.5mpg combined, which is wild for a car with that much power. And with only 49g/km CO2, it’s a pretty low-impact drive if you’re trying to be eco-conscious without giving up performance.
Inside, it’s got that Dakota leather trim — black with dark oyster highlights — which looks classy but isn’t flashy. The seats are heated, which is a real comfort in the winter. I’ve used the heated mirrors and the reversing camera a lot — parking in tight spaces has never been easier. The touchscreen is a bit dated now, but the Bluetooth and USB setup still works fine, and I can connect my phone without any hassle.
It’s got a full range of safety stuff: airbags, alarm with remote, immobiliser, crash sensors that cut power and lights in an emergency, and even a child seat ISOFIX setup. The glove box opener is a small thing, but useful. I’ve kept it clean and well-maintained — no major repairs needed, and I’ve had a condition-based service plan running.
I’ve also got the charging kit — Mode 2 cable, charging flap on the front left, and a little LED light that tells you when it’s charging. The battery safety cut-off is good too. The 18-inch alloy wheels are the multi-spoke kind, and the interior trim is a mix of wood and chrome — feels premium without being too flashy.
I’ve only had it for a few years, and it’s still running like new. Road tax is just £20 a year — that’s a tiny bit for a car like this. I’m not selling it just to get cash, I’m actually looking to downsize and move on — so if you’re thinking about getting a car that’s practical, quiet, and doesn’t scream “I’m expensive,” this one might be worth a look.
It’s based in Dalkeith, Midlothian — I’m not far from the city, so I can meet up if you’d like to see it. I’ll call you before you come — not all cars are on site, so it’s best to confirm.
If you’re interested, just give me a ring. No pressure, just a real car that’s been driven smartly and kept well.
