Description

Got this 1970 Triumph Bonneville T120 sitting in my garage in Strathpeffer, Highland — it’s one of those bikes that just feels right when you see it. It’s a true matching numbers example, registered in the UK back in '70, and has only had six owners since new. The last one was a proper restorer who took it out of a long-term collection and gave it a full overhaul.

The engine’s been stripped down — new bearings, pistons, rings — and everything else has been given a proper clean and rebuild. Gearbox bearings replaced, duplex clutch chain and plates swapped out, oil seals done all around. Upgraded to a 10-amp alternator, Pazon electronic ignition, 6-volt coils, new cables, and fresh clutch and brake levers. Front and rear spindles were re-zinced too. A new exhaust was fitted, and even though the carbs were new, they were taken off, cleaned, and overhauled. Since then, it’s only done 175 miles.

I’ve got a full breakdown of all the work done and a copy of the invoice, so you can see exactly what’s been done. The bike’s been HPI-checked and is clear.

I’m not a dealer, I’m just a guy who’s been loving bikes for years — this one just hit home. It’s not flashy, but it’s solid, honest, and has that classic Triumph soul. If you’ve ever wanted to ride something that feels like it belongs in a vintage photo, this is it.

It’s priced at £8,099.10 — that’s not the headline, it’s just how it sits in my books. If you’re interested, I’ll be happy to talk it through. No pressure, just a real conversation.

(No need to rush — I’ve had this one for years, and it’s finally time to share it.)
