So, I’ve got this 2013 Honda Civic 1.6 i-DTEC EX 5-door hatchback — diesel, manual, and it’s been a real workhorse for me over the years. It’s not flashy, but it’s solid, and I’ve only ever had it, so it’s been properly looked after.

I’ve done about 95,000 miles on it, and every major service has been done on time — 2014 at 12k, 2015 at 23k, 2016 at 37k, 2017 at 47k, 2018 at 58k, 2019 at 73k, then 2022, 2023, 2024, and finally 2025 at 91k. The MOT in March 2025 came back clean — no warnings, no red flags.

Inside it’s got a full leather interior, heated front seats, and a sat-nav — pretty standard for a Civic, but still very useful. The dash is clean, the seats are comfy, and it’s been kept in good shape. A bit of minor scuffing on the bodywork, which you’d expect at that age and mileage — nothing serious.

It’s got a 1.6L diesel engine, which is great if you’re after good fuel economy and extra range. I’ve been using it for both work and family trips, and it’s held up well.
