Hey, I’m letting out a single room in a nice, newly refreshed house on Canvey Island, Castle Point. If you’re moving to the area or just want a calmer, more comfortable place to live without the chaos of a big house, this could be perfect for you.

The house is tucked just off the main road, a bit north of the town centre, with easy access to local shops, parks, and the seafront. It’s quiet, well-lit, and feels like a real home — not some boxy flat.

The room has a double bed with mattress (so you get a good night’s sleep), a wardrobe, and a bedside table. It’s styled to feel personal — you can keep it as is or make it your own. The bathroom has both a shower and a bath, so you can go quick or soak after a long day. There’s also a small garden at the back — it’s not huge, but when the sun comes out, it’s nice to just sit and watch the sky.

I’ve got most bills covered, so no surprise charges, and there’s good Wi-Fi. A cleaner comes regularly to keep things tidy.

Getting around is easy — there are plenty of local shops nearby, the seafront is a 10-minute walk, and Chalkwell Park is just a few minutes away. Southend town centre is about 1.5 miles, a 15-minute walk or a short bus ride. Westcliff train station is just a mile or so away, and Southend Hospital is only five minutes away — which makes it a good fit for hospital staff or anyone working in the area.

It’s a friendly, relaxed house with a good group of people already living there, so you’ll feel at home. I’m happy to have other professionals join too, as long as it’s a low-key vibe.
