2016 MINI Countryman John Cooper Works 5-door SUV Manual All4
Description
This 2016 MINI Countryman John Cooper Works is a proper driver’s car – not flashy, not overbuilt, just sharp and well-built. I bought it back in 2018 and have only done about 30,000 miles since, mostly local drives and some country roads. It’s been well looked after, no major repairs, just regular servicing and good care. It’s got the classic JCW styling – the aerodynamic kit, the lowered suspension, the sporty look, and that leather steering wheel. The wheels are 18-inch alloy in a burnished black finish, and the front fog lights and LED headlight beam control are both handy. The interior’s clean and practical – piano black trim, anthracite headlining, and that nice split rear seat with 40:20:40 setup. I’ve never had to take the seats out, and they’re still in good shape.
It has everything you’d expect: airbags (front, side, head), ABS, DSC, traction control, parking sensors, electric windows, remote central locking, heated windscreen wipers, and even a DAB radio with USB and Bluetooth. The glovebox is cooled, there’s a cupholder, and the seats are height-adjustable. The boot has all the lashing eyes and roof rails too – useful for camping or hauling gear.
I’ve had it for years and it runs smoothly. No major issues, just a bit of a love letter to the MINI brand. I’ve kept it in Selkirk, Scottish Borders, and it’s been parked in a garage most of the time.
It’s not cheap – I’m looking at £8,460 for it – but it’s a solid, reliable car that feels great to drive. I’ve kept it running well, and it’s been a joy to use.
If you’re into driving, practicality, and a bit of sporty character, this one’s worth a look. I’m happy to show it around or let you take it for a spin if you’re interested.
(PS: Hammond Cars has been around since 1974 and I’ve been a customer for years – I trust their advice, and they’re a real family-run business. I just thought I’d share it with someone who might actually like it.)
