2018 Volkswagen Passat 1.6 TDI SE BlueMotion Business Edition
Description
So, I’ve had this 2018 Passat for a few years now — it’s been a real workhorse, and honestly, I’m not sure I’ve ever driven anything that feels quite as smooth and reliable. It’s a 1.6 TDI with 179k miles on the clock, all motorway miles, and it’s been properly looked after from day one.Only ever had one company owner — straight from new — and I’ve kept it well maintained. The last full service was at 162k, and I had the timing belt and water pump done at 123k (cost about £520), which was a bit of a hassle at the time but worth it.
I’ve recently replaced both front and rear brake discs and pads, and swapped in a new Bosch battery — the car’s been running strong since. The tyres are Continental, all around, and in great shape.
Inside, it’s clean, quiet, and feels like it’s been properly cared for. The seats are comfortable — front heated seats, ergo comfort seat, and the driver’s seat is adjustable. The infotainment system is a factory upgrade — touchscreen, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Mirror Link, and even DAB radio. Navigation is built in too.
It has xenon headlights, adaptive cruise, multi-function steering wheel, keyless start, parking sensors, hill assist, and even rear privacy glass. The cabin climate control is dual zone with digital settings — I love how it keeps the back of the car cool in summer.
I’ve had it through a full valet, so the interior is spotless, and the bodywork is in great shape for the mileage. The engine and gearbox are solid — no issues at all. The turbo’s been quiet, and it’s driven well, even on long trips.
It’s a business edition — one of the more desirable versions of the B8 Passat, especially in that special grey colour. The colour is actually one of the best in the model — clean, modern, not flashy.
I’ve got two original keys and the floor mats too. If you’re interested, I’d really encourage a test drive — this car is just a joy to drive, and the details really add up. I’m not looking for drama or long delays — just someone who gets the value of a well-maintained, reliable car.
Price is £4,050 — not a lot, really, for what it is.
It’s based at Bookham, Church Road.
