2012 Triumph Street Triple R
Description
So, I’ve got this 2012 Triumph Street Triple R sitting in my garage in Bognor Regis, Arun — not a flashy showroom, just a bit of a quiet spot where it’s been quietly riding the miles and staying in great shape.I’ve actually been riding bikes for over 20 years, so I know what a good one looks and feels like. This one’s been a real gem since it came off the line in June 2012. It’s had five services — the last one in April 2024 at 10,070 miles — and now it’s at 12,080. That’s not much for a bike that’s been around this long, especially one this kind of thing.
The original review from MCN back then said it perfectly — a mix of the Speed Triple’s style and the Daytona 675’s tech. The ‘R’ version gets upgraded suspension and stronger brakes, which makes it a bit more aggressive and ready to go — especially for someone who wants a fun, responsive ride without all the noise of a full sportsbike.
It’s in excellent condition overall. I’m pretty strict when I look at bikes, and honestly, there’s not much to complain about. Just a few tiny stone chips on the front fairing and a small graze on the right hand bar — nothing that affects how it rides or looks.
It’s loaded with extras: adjustable billet levers, billet master cylinder, Arrow silencers, Oxford heated grips, bar end mirrors, quick shifter, belly pan, radiator cowls, carbon guards, and all the little bits like the tail tidy and protection bobbins. All the bits you’d want if you’re serious about a proper setup.
It’s HPI clear, comes with the V5, service records, owner’s manual, and a brand new 12-month MOT — plus a 3-month guarantee. I’ve got two keys, all the paperwork, and I’m happy to send more photos or go over anything in detail if you’re interested.
I’m not selling it just to get rid of it — I’ve actually been using it as a weekend ride and it’s been a real joy. If you’re looking for something that’s proven, reliable, and just plain fun to ride — this one’s been doing that for over a decade.
If you want to see it in person, I’m around from 9am to 5pm weekdays and 9am to 3pm on Saturdays — no fancy showrooms, just me and the bike, and a bit of a chat.
I’m open to part exchanges and can help with financing if you’re in the market. Delivery across the UK is possible, though it’ll come with a small fee.
Anyway, if you’re thinking about it — just give me a call or email. I’d love to hear what you think.
Best,
Lee, Howard, Stuart & Martin (and Stuey, who still has a knack for fixing things and still hasn’t stopped being the 'Nipper') 💨🏍️
