2008 Ford Galaxy Auto 2ltr TDI with electrical issue

Got this old Ford Galaxy in 2008, 2ltr auto diesel — it was running great for years, never used oil, and I kept it well maintained. Then one day the engine just stopped, said "malfunction" on the dash. Took it to an electrician, they said it was an electrical fault — maybe corrosion or a bad wire, but couldn’t get a proper connection to some modules. Not sure if it’s fixable or just a messy wiring job.Had a removable tow bar fitted last year, new mid-to-rear exhaust, and four fresh tyres. The passenger wing and bumper took a bit of damage from windstorms, so I did a bit of patchwork work on those — not ideal, but it held.
I’ve now pulled the plug on it — need space in the garage. The V5 was updated, and the private plate is off (NC08YAV).
