This 2015 Vauxhall Astra 1.6 CDTi EcoFLEX SRi has been sitting in my garage in Newhall, South Derbyshire, mostly just being parked and occasionally driven for short trips. I’ve kept it well maintained over the years — no major repairs, just regular servicing and good care.

It’s a diesel manual with 110ps, Euro 6 compliant, and has that sporty, sharp look with 17-inch alloy wheels and jet black trim. The interior’s clean and tidy — lots of storage, heated rear window, and the seats are comfy. It’s got all the modern safety stuff: airbags (front, side, curtain), ABS, ESP, electronic stability control, hill start assist, and even a driver’s seatbelt pretensioner.

The boot is fully carpeted, and there’s a good amount of space. I’ve got the 12V sockets in the front and luggage area, AUX input, and a CD player that still works. The windows go up and down with one touch and auto-reverse, which is handy.

I’ve also got a few little things like LED brake lights, adaptive cruise, daytime running lights, and a digital clock with automatic time sync. The doors are easy to open, and the locks are smart — no jamming, no issues.

I’m not selling it for a big profit — just getting rid of it because I’ve moved on. It’s a solid, reliable car that’s been dependable over the years. I’ve driven it for years, kept it in good shape, and it’s been a real workhorse.
