Got a 2006 Toyota Yaris 1.0L with manual gearbox – it’s been running solid for years, and I’m not sure why I kept it for so long. 120k miles, MOT valid until 7th January 2026, and it’s got a great fuel economy. Insurance’s cheap, and it’s been really reliable for daily use.The only thing that needs fixing is the front and rear left ABS sensors – both are fairly easy to replace, cost about £20, and can be done in 15–20 minutes. I’ve actually got a spare part for one, so it’s not a big hassle. Everything else works fine – just start it up and drive.
