Holdsworth Elan Vintage Road Bike XL Frame
Description
Got this Holdsworth Elan road bike sitting in my garage in llanbedrgoch, Isle of Anglesey, and thought I’d finally part with it after all these years. It’s an XL frame, 63cm, built on a solid Reynolds 531 frame — not flashy, but sturdy and well-made. It’s a vintage piece, so there are some normal wear marks, a few spots of rust, and a few paint chips where the sun and time have taken their toll. The bits are all original and decent: Campagnolo 2x6 gear system, SR 52T crankset, Lyotard pedals, Weinmann V brakes, GB Biba stem and handlebars. Wheels are Rigida with Pelissier hubs, front and back, and it’s got Campagnolo quick-release skewers. Tires are Michelin Dyna, seat is a San Marco Bioaktive one, and I’ve got a strong Japan-made Zefal seat post. The pump is a Zefal Sp4, and it’s all included — mudguards too.
It’s been ridden, not raced, and I’ve kept it well maintained. It’s not perfect — you’ll see the age, the rust, the chips — but it still rides well and looks great for a classic. I’m only taking cash on collection. No offers, no swaps. Sold as seen. I’m not looking for a fancy price — just a quick handover. If you’re into vintage bikes or just like a solid piece of road history, this one’s a keeper.
£250 cash on collection — just show up and pay. No hassle, no delays.
