Description

So I’ve been living in this little 2-bedroom flat in Lechlade for a few months now and honestly, I’m really happy with it — it’s just the kind of place I’d want for myself or someone I know.

It’s in Aurelia House, right on the edge of town, just a minute’s walk from the train station. I’ve walked past the station a few times and it’s actually quite easy to get around — you can head into the town centre in 5 minutes, past the river, and there’s a real mix of places to grab coffee, meet friends, or just unwind.

The flat has a bright open kitchen and living area with big windows — lots of natural light, which makes a real difference. The kitchen is fully fitted with a ceramic hob, oven, extractor, and oak worktops — not fancy, but solid and easy to clean.

There’s a double bedroom with a bit of light from the window, and a second bedroom that’s warm thanks to digital heaters. I’ve been using the storage cupboard for the hot water system — it’s handy.

The bathroom has a modern suite with a shower, sink, mirror with lighting, and a heated towel rail — nothing too flashy, but it’s comfortable.

Security is decent: there’s a video intercom, Wi-Fi-powered heaters (so it stays warm when I’m not home), double sockets for gadgets, and 24-hour CCTV around the building.

I’ve noticed the River Wey is a short walk away — peaceful, green, and quiet. There are a few parks too, which is nice if you’re trying to get away from the noise of city life.

Local shops like Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Lidl are all under 10 minutes’ walk. There’s Brook’s for a bit of fine dining, Casa and Meze for something different, and if you’re up for a longer drive, White Rose is about 30 minutes away.

I’m not planning to move out until September 2025, so it’s available to people who want a solid, manageable place to live — especially if you’re looking for something quiet, well-connected, and not too far from nature.

It’s unfurnished, so you’ll need to bring your own furniture. No garden access, but there’s parking — which is a big plus.

I’ve had a few people ask about it, and it’s been a good fit for a couple of friends who work remotely. Students are welcome, pets are possible by arrangement, and no smoking.

The EPC rating is D, so it’s not super energy-efficient — but it’s not a major issue.

If you’re interested, just give me a call and say “2539735” — I’ll get back to you when I can. No admin fees, no agent charges — it’s just me sharing a place I’ve found comfortable.

No garden, no garden access, no bills included. Just a real, quiet, walkable flat in a pretty little town.
