2018 Volvo V40 R-Design T2 Hatchback Petrol Manual
Description
I’m parting with my 2018 Volvo V40 R-Design T2 hatchback – it’s been a solid driver for years, and honestly, it’s one of the few cars I’ve kept that still feels fresh and reliable. It’s got a 2.0L petrol engine, Euro 6 compliant, and I’ve only done about 18,259 miles since the last service, which was done in August 2025. That’s actually pretty low for the year, especially with how much I’ve used it.The R-Design Nav Plus trim gives it a bit of a sporty edge – not flashy, just clean and sharp. I love the rear park assist with camera, which makes parking a breeze, especially in tight spots. Automatic LED headlights help in the dark, and I’ve got Bluetooth handsfree so I don’t have to fumble with my phone. The climate control keeps the cabin comfy, whether it’s a rainy morning or a hot summer day.
It’s got a 6-month warranty and the MOT runs until August 2026 – so it’s been well looked after. I’ve had it serviced a few times, and the insurance group is low, which means premiums are manageable. The boot’s big enough for a weekend trip or just a few bags.
I’ve driven it fairly regularly over the years, and it’s still quick – gets from 0 to 60 in about 9.8 seconds, which is faster than most hatchbacks in its class. Safety belt pretensioners are standard, which is a nice touch.
It’s in Inveraray, Argyll and Bute, so if you’re around there, I’m happy to chat or meet up. I’m not selling it for a lot – just passing it on to someone who’ll actually enjoy driving it. I’ll even give it a quick look over if you’re interested.
