2018 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Estate
Description
So, I’ve been keeping this car for a few years now — it’s one of those reliable, no-nonsense SUVs you just don’t want to part with. It’s a 2018 RAV4 Hybrid, 2.5-litre, 197 PS, 2WD, estate version — not flashy, but actually quite smart when you get behind the wheel. It’s had just one owner since new, which means it’s been well looked after and hasn’t seen the kind of wear that comes with lots of hands. The hybrid engine runs smooth, especially in city traffic — no jolting, no fiddling around with gears, just steady and efficient. I’ve noticed the fuel economy is better than most people expect, which is a real win for daily use.
Inside, it’s got all the modern bits: navigation, DAB radio, Bluetooth, USB and aux-in — plenty of options for what you want to play. The touchscreen is a bit small, but it’s actually quite easy to use. I’ve got a reversing camera, which helps with parking, and the seats are comfy, especially with the power-adjustable driver’s seat and lumbar support. The dashboard has some nice touches — leather gear knob, Alcantara inserts, and even a little coat hook and combinator in the console.
Outdoors, it looks solid — 17-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, and body-coloured mirrors. The headlights are halogen projectors with dusk sensing, and there’s a nice little light that comes on when you enter the car. The rear seats are reclining, which is handy for longer trips, and there’s a luggage net and a tonneau cover that can be retracted if you want.
Safety is solid too — ABS, EBD, brake assist, hill start assist, and Toyota Safety Sense. There’s even a tyre pressure warning and a brake warning light if something’s off. All the airbags are there too — seven in total — and the seats have pretensioners.
I’ve kept it in Stanley, County Durham, and it’s been parked in a spot that’s not too exposed — just a quiet corner, no dust, no sun damage. It’s been properly maintained, and I’m happy with how it’s turned out.
It’s not the most flashy car, but it’s reliable, quiet, and gets good miles per gallon. I’m not selling it because I need cash — I just wanted to get rid of it and move on. If you’re looking for something practical, low-maintenance, and not too expensive to run, this might be it.
If you’re interested, I can show you around — no pressure, just a quick chat. Let me know when you’re free.
