Description

This 2022 Mazda CX-5 diesel estate has been sitting in my driveway in Marsden, Station Road for a few months now — just a quiet, practical car with a lot of modern safety tech. It’s a 2.2d engine, 184bhp, manual gearbox, and has all the features you’d expect from a GT Sport — like rain-sensing wipers, front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree camera, lane keep assist, and blind spot monitoring.

The rear wash/wipe is a bit intermittent, but that’s the only real quirk — otherwise it’s been well maintained. I’ve got privacy glass on the rear side windows, which is handy for when I’m just driving around, and there’s Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus Qi wireless charging.

I bought it new from Vertu — one of the bigger UK dealerships — and it’s been kept in great condition. The dashboard is clean, the interior is tidy, and it’s been serviced regularly. The only thing I’ve noticed is that the automatic hold on the parking brake works well, but the brake de-icer on the windscreen doesn’t always activate when it’s really cold.

It’s not the most flashy car, but it’s reliable, spacious, and handles well. I’ve been using it for local commuting and weekend trips, and it’s been solid.
