Got this Seiko Laurel Alpinist Prospex in black – still in the original box and with all the paperwork, tags still on it. It’s brand new, just came out of the packaging, so no wear at all. The dial has that classic sunburst finish with silver-tone details, and it’s got a 38mm case – not too big, not too small, just right for a daily wear. The movement is automatic, 24 jewels, and it’s water-resistant up to 200m, so you can go for a swim or just take it to the gym without worry. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and it’s been super reliable – no issues at all. It has a date display, seconds hand, and a stop-seconds function, which is handy for timing things. The sapphire crystal is scratch-resistant too. It’s a solid, Japanese-made timepiece, and I’ve kept it in good condition. I’m moving to old-colwyn, Conwy, and it’s just sitting in my storage box, so I’m getting rid of it. It’s not expensive – I paid around £531 – but it’s a good watch for someone who wants something reliable and looks decent without being flashy.
