2008 Saab 9-3 Estate, 5-door, 1998cc
Description
Got this Saab in lockerbie, Dumfries and Galloway, and it’s been sitting in a garage for a few years — just me and the car, really. It’s a 2008 9-3 Estate, 5 doors, with the 2.0L turbo inline-4 — standard for that model. Automatic with 5 speeds and sport mode, and it’s got the Saab Trionic system, which I remember was pretty clever back then — direct ignition, smoother control, less waste.Inside, it’s got the night panel — you can turn off all the lights at night if you’re driving late, which is a real little comfort. Dual-zone climate control, heated seats (standard on higher trims), and leather seats — I’ve kept it looking decent. Audio’s not flashy, but it’s got a CD player and a decent sound system. Power windows, mirrors, and remote keyless entry are all there.
Safety-wise, it’s got traction control, ABS, front and side airbags, and a remote anti-theft alarm. Pretty solid for its time.
The car started having a misfire in cylinder 4 this morning — just started happening, after a fuel filter change at JP Autos in Perth. I’ve changed the filter, and it’s running fine now, just takes a few seconds to start. I’ve been thinking about doing spark plugs next, but it’s still drivable. MOT is clean, done in January 2024 — 111k miles.
£450 if I can sell it this weekend, no offers. I’m just getting rid of it — not planning to drive it much. If you’ve got a use for it, or just want to keep it as a project, I’d be happy to chat.
