Mid Century Plan Chest - 6 Drawer
Description
Got this old plan chest sitting in my garage in Taynuilt, Lagan — it’s been in the family for a while and I’m finally getting rid of it. It’s a solid mid-century piece with all the original brass name plates still on, and the handles are in great shape. The top and sides are polished, not perfect but nothing glaring — just a few light marks from use. All six drawers slide in and out smoothly, though a couple have inserts that can be taken out if you want to remove them (they were added later, not original).Dimensions:
Chest height: 88.5cm
Top panel width: 134.5cm
Carcass width: 132.5cm
Top panel depth: 95cm
Carcass depth: 93.5cm
Drawers: 6cm high, 121cm wide, 85cm deep
It’s well kept, not flashy, just a solid piece that used to hold blueprints and maps — the name plates still say things like "Architect’s Office" and "Design Room," which I found kind of charming. I’m not selling it for a big price — £337.50 — just because I’ve been meaning to clear some space. If you’re interested, I’ll do a collection. No photos, just a quick chat if you’ve got questions.
P.S. It’s also known as a map chest or architects chest — if that rings a bell, let me know.
