2009 Vauxhall Astra H 1.9 CDTI SRI+ Stage 2+

Description

So, I’m parting with this 2009 Vauxhall Astra H – my partner’s long-time ride, and honestly, it’s been a proper fun car to drive. Not flashy or show-ready, but loud, quick, and genuinely got some serious power under the skin.

It’s a 1.9 CDTI SRI+ with a Stage 2+ build – tuned by Tom Procko and Anthony Moreels – and I’ve got a dyno printout proving it’s sitting at around 250bhp. That’s not just hype, it’s real. I’ve done a fair bit of work on it myself over the years, and it’s been properly sorted for daily use and weekend bursts of fun.

🔧 Engine & Performance
- GT1858 Hybrid Turbo (rebuilt, ~2k miles, new manifold)
- R80 high-pressure fuel pump
- Uprated intercooler, 80mm MAF, ProRam cone filter, 4-bar MAP, 2200 bar rail sensor
- Stage 3 clutch – handles the power without any issues
- Swirl flap and EGR deleted, decat removed
- MuddyMods custom exhaust – definitely sounds aggressive when you floor it
- Oil catch can installed – keeps the engine cleaner

💡 Interior & Sound
- Dreamcolour Symphony interior lighting (Bluetooth-controlled Android head unit with Android Auto)
- Upgraded door speakers
- Custom steering wheel
- Dual boost and temp gauges (still a bit untuned, not fully set up yet)

🛑 Brakes & Handling
- Vented discs all round, Mintex pads
- Painted brake calipers
- JOM coilovers – lowered, but not slammed – still manageable for everyday driving

🛠 Maintenance & Extras
- Regular servicing with Castrol Edge 5W-4 or 10W-40 (used every time)
- Brand new oversized battery – extra cranking power when it’s cold
- New handbrake cable just fitted

⚠️ A few notes I should mention:
- The clock set was replaced before the last MOT – shows 200k+ (not accurate), actual mileage is probably around 150–160k
- Wheels: sold on silver Penta alloys, plus a bonus set of 18" wheels (need a bit of refurbishing – included free)
- Washer bottle is currently a hand-pump because of the oversized intercooler – could swap for a bike-style bottle if needed
- On hard throttle, EML pops up due to slight overboost – not a problem, just needs a tweak (turbo limit screw or intercooler hose)
- There are some age-related marks and bumps – it’s not a pristine car, just a solid, lived-in machine
- Rear quarter was damaged before, pulled out and fixed – not perfect, but it’s drivable
- MOT due in November – I can arrange a fresh one before sale, but it’s uninsured, so transport costs apply
