EV Charger Type 2 to 3 Pin, 8M, 13A Adjustable, 12 Hours Delay, Touch Control, 3.3kW
Description
Got this charger sitting in my garage in Kirkwall, Orkney Islands, and I'm finally putting it to good use. It's a Type 2 charger with a UK 3-pin plug, 8m cable, and can go up to 13A — so I can adjust it for different cars, whether it's a regular EV or a PHEV. Maximum power is 3.3kW, which means my car can go from 0% to 100% in about 3 to 5 hours. The 12-hour delay feature is a real game-changer — I can set it to start charging late at night or early in the morning, so I don’t pay peak-hour electricity rates. The touch control is super simple — like a phone screen. Just long press to set things, short press to switch. It remembers your last setting, but the delay needs to be reset every time, which is fine since I use it differently depending on when I'm home.
It comes with a wall mount bracket, so I can fix it securely to the wall instead of just plugging it into a socket — helps avoid strain on the outlet. Also got a handy cable bag, so if I’m going on a trip or visiting someone, I can just grab it and go.
Works with all European EVs and plug-in hybrids that meet the IEC 62196-2 standard — so no issues with compatibility.
Sold for £72 — just a bit of extra space in the garage, so I thought I’d share it.
