2021 Volvo XC60 R-Design 2.0L AWD Estate
Description
So, I’ve had this Volvo XC60 R-Design for just over a year now — I bought it new through Vertu Motors in Clackmannanshire, Scotland, and it’s been a solid daily driver. It’s not flashy, but it does what it’s supposed to: looks sharp, handles well, and doesn’t make a sound when you’re cruising down the road. The 2.0-litre mild-hybrid engine is surprisingly responsive — not loud, not sluggish, just enough punch to keep you going without burning fuel. The Geartronic automatic is smooth, no jerky shifts, and the all-wheel drive gives you confidence on wet roads or when you're driving up hills. I’ve done a fair bit of country driving, and it’s held up really well.
Out front, it’s got that bold R-Design look — gloss black accents, piano black grille, 20-inch alloys, and a lowered stance. The LED Thor’s Hammer lights are a bit of a standout at night. Inside, the seats are Nappa leather with nubuck trim, and the steering wheel has that nice metal mesh inlay. The 9-inch touchscreen with Google built-in is easy to use — I’ve got voice control set up for navigation and music, which is a real life-saver.
Safety’s a big deal to me, and this one’s got plenty: lane keep assist, cruise control, parking sensors, pre-crash prevention, and even a rear camera. The heated seats are a bonus in the winter. Everything’s clean, well-maintained, and I’ve kept it with a full service history — no major issues, just regular upkeep.
I’ve also got the climate control, panoramic roof, keyless entry, push-button start, and all the little touches like auto dimming mirrors and wireless charging. The interior is warm, tidy, and feels like it’s been cared for.
I’m not selling it because I need a new car — I just want to pass it on to someone who’ll appreciate its balance of style and practicality. It’s not the most expensive car on the market, but it’s built to last and drive well.
Price is £28,564.20 — it’s not a bargain, but it’s a solid vehicle with real value. I’ll take it from the hands of the next person who wants something reliable, stylish, and not too loud.
If you're looking for something that doesn’t scream “I’m a luxury car” but still feels premium, this might be it.
P.S. It’s in Clackmannanshire, Scotland — I’ll be around to meet or arrange a viewing.
