Description

So, I’ve got this 2021 Mini Cooper S Electric on the shelf — 71 reg, level 2 charging, electric auto — and it’s had some front and side damage. It’s been through an insurance claim, so it’s a Cat-S salvage vehicle, but it’s definitely repairable.

I’m not selling it as "perfect" or "drivable out of the gate" — it’s not. It’s been stored and assessed, and the details I’ve put online might not be 100% accurate, so if you’re thinking about buying it, I’d really recommend you come and see it in person.

If you're serious about checking it out, I’d suggest bringing a mechanic or a trusted engineer — just to get a proper feel for what’s actually under the skin. I don’t give any warranty, no guarantees on how it’ll start, how it’ll drive, or what’s underneath. The engine or gearbox might not be in great shape, and that’s all part of the process.

The car’s been held at a salvage yard in Berkshire, Reading — so it’s not in Ilkeston anymore. If you want to take a look, just give me a ring. I’m Shaun or Dave — either of us can help you sort it out. Office number’s 0115 9300505, and I’d say best to call between 9am and 4pm, unless it’s a Sunday when we’ll do appointments.

No HPI check is 100% foolproof — some of these vehicles might show clear at one point, but they’ll eventually get recorded on HPI. And yeah, some have been through more than one claim. So, do your own checks.

If you go ahead and buy, you’ll need to take it for a full repair and get a new MOT before it’s legal to drive on the road. A current MOT doesn’t mean it’s safe — it might have been tested after damage.

I accept all major debit cards, bank transfers, and cash — but if you pay cash on site or at a bank, there’s a 2% handling fee. Deposits aren’t refundable, so if you don’t collect by the agreed date, we can keep it and resell it.

We don’t take any responsibility once the car leaves the yard. No second-hand damage claims, no promises about interior bits like parcel shelves, spare wheels, or sat-nav maps — all of that’s been in storage before we even took it on.

And just a quick note — the details on the listing might be pre-filled by eBay or Gumtree, and they’re not always right. Don’t rely on them. If you want the reg and VIN, I can send those over when you call.

Anyway, it’s a solid little car, just not in the condition you’d expect from a new one. If you’re after something with value, and you’re okay with a bit of work ahead, this could be a good option.

Let me know if you’re interested — I’ll make sure you get the full picture.
