Description

So, I’ve got this 2015 Ford Fiesta Zetec hatchback — not a flashy car, but it’s been a real workhorse for me over the years. It’s a solid 1.25-litre, 81bhp engine with a manual gearbox, and honestly, it’s got a nice, responsive feel when you’re behind the wheel. I’ve driven it through everything from city traffic to long weekend trips, and it’s held up pretty well.

The body’s in shadow black — deep, sleek finish that doesn’t show dirt too easily, and it’s one of those colours that just makes you feel like you’re driving something a bit more stylish than your average hatch. The black Lithos cloth interior is a bit worn now, but it’s still comfy, and the seats hold up well even after 41k miles.

It’s a three-door hatch, which is perfect for me — fits a couple of kids, a dog, and a bit of gear without being too bulky. I’ve had two owners before me, and it’s only done 41,117 miles — not a lot for a car that’s been around this long.

The fuel economy is actually decent — around 54 mpg — so if you’re looking for something that doesn’t eat through your tank, this one’s on your side. Top speed’s about 104mph, which is fine for a small hatch, and it’s ULEZ-compliant, so no issues in London or other city zones.

I’ve got a 14-inch steel spare wheel tucked in the boot — not fancy, but it’s useful. No more panicking when a flat happens on the way to the shops.

I’m based in Llanrhystud, Ceredigion, so if you’re local or passing through, I can arrange a view — just give me a call first. No need to show up unannounced.

The annual road tax is £165, and it’s insurance group 07 — so it’s not a huge cost to keep running. I’ve also got a Customer Protect warranty on it, which covers basic repairs and gives a bit of peace of mind if anything goes wrong. It’s not perfect — nothing is — but it’s been reliable, and I’m happy with how it’s turned out.

If you’re looking for something practical, a bit of character, and not too expensive to maintain, this one might just fit your needs. I’m not selling it for a lot — it’s £5,620.50 — but it’s what it is, and it’s been through a lot.

Let me know if you’re interested. I’ll be honest — I’m not sure it’s for everyone, but if you’ve got a bit of a driving habit and want something that just works, it’s been a real good companion.
