Electric bike DYU C3 14-inch tyres with battery inside metal frame
Description
I’ve had this DYU C3 electric bike for a few weeks now and it’s been a real life-saver. It’s got the battery built right into the metal frame, which means it’s super safe to keep inside my house—no worries about theft. I’ve actually kept it in my home at Hillsborough, Penistone Road North, because every time I’ve left it outside, people have tried to steal it and I’ve had to shout, “That’s my bike!” So it’s been a real peace of mind. It’s a new model, launched in January 2024, so it’s the latest version. The disc brakes stop really quickly, and the wheels have extra parts fitted so they won’t come loose during rides. The bike can go up to 16 mph, which is legal in the UK, and I’ve tested it fully—everything works. When the battery’s fully charged, it’ll give you between 10 to 15 miles on throttle or pedal assist, and if you’re using pedal assist only, you can get up to 20 miles. But you can also ride it fully by hand—no electric at all—so if you want to do some exercise, it’s a solid option.
The charger comes with it, and I’ve only taken it out a couple of times to test it. It’s still under a 1-year guarantee on my name, so I’m confident it’s in good shape. I’m not selling it for a lot—£342—but I’ve only used it a bit and it’s still brand new. If you’re looking for something safe, reliable, and actually usable for daily commutes or just getting around, this one’s been a good fit for me.
