Ikea Poang set - two black leather chairs and footstool
Description
I’ve had this Ikea Poang set for ages — two black leather chairs and a footstool — and it’s been a staple in my living room since I moved into my cottage in Appleby-in-Westmorland. The chairs are solid beech, the footstool is a bit lighter, maybe birch, and the leather’s been a bit worn over time, which is fair — it’s been in the same spot for nearly 20 years. The cushions are still good, just a bit creased and have some scuffs, especially on the footstool. One chair’s fabric has ripped (taped up), and the other has a small crack that’s been glued and reinforced with a fixing plate. The frames show their age, but they’re still sturdy. I’ve kept it in a corner, mostly just for sitting and reading, so it’s not been used daily.
I’m parting with it because I’ve moved into a new home and don’t need the extra space it takes up. Photos are attached — you can see the details clearly. If you’re looking for a simple, no-nonsense chair set that’s not flashy but still has a bit of character, this might be something you’d actually enjoy. Price is £45, but I’m not going to say that in the title — just thought I’d mention it.
