SVGA to HDMI converter with USB power
Description
Got this little converter from my old setup in Bolton, Greater Manchester — it’s basically a bridge between old-school PCs and modern monitors. My laptop used to only have VGA, so I kept it around to plug into an HDMI TV or monitor without having to buy a new one. Works great with older desktops or laptops, sends the signal cleanly, and you can even get audio from the 3.5mm jack.It handles a bunch of standard resolutions — from 800x600 all the way up to 1920x1080 at 60Hz — and supports common input types like VGA, XGA, SVGA, and more. Output’s HDMI 1.3b, with HDCP 1.2, so it should work with most modern screens. The body’s black aluminium, compact and light — the cable from VGA to HDMI is 26cm, and there’s a 58cm stereo cable and a 1m USB to micro-USB power cable attached.
It’s been sitting in my cupboard for ages, and I’m just getting rid of it. Only £4.50 — not much, but it’s still useful if you’ve got an old PC and want to get it working with a new screen.
