2024 Ford Puma 1.0T EcoBoost MHEV ST SUV 5-door petrol hybrid
Description
I’ve been keeping this car for a few years now, and honestly, it’s one of the few vehicles I’ve owned that actually feels like it’s built for real life—not just city drives or long trips, but everything in between. It’s a 2024 Puma ST with the 1.0T EcoBoost hybrid engine, which is surprisingly efficient for a small SUV. The thing about this one is how it balances power and practicality—great for family trips, weekend getaways, or just getting around without feeling like you’re constantly fiddling with the climate or the radio.
I bought it new through Nortree Motors back in 2024. They’ve been around since 1952—founded by Trevor Phillips and Norman Whittaker—and they’ve stuck to the same family-driven service style even as they moved from the Market Place to the Beanacre site. Now it’s run by Trevor’s son Michael and his grandsons Daniel and Edward, who still treat every customer like they’re part of the family.
I’ve had it serviced regularly, and it’s been in great condition since day one. The alloy 19-inch wheels (magnetite dark finish), ST-style design with body-colour bumpers, and those red brake calipers give it a sharp, sporty look without being flashy. Inside, it’s clean and well-organised—B&O audio, Ford SYNC 3 navigation, a premium centre console with USB and power points, and plenty of storage. The seats are comfortable, the steering wheel has that nice soft feel, and the digital cluster is a real help when driving in the rain or fog.
It has a lot of smart safety tech—lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, hill start assist, parking sensors, and even pedestrian detection. I’ve actually used the pre-collision assist a few times, and it made me feel more confident on the roads, especially when driving in the Scottish Borders.
The only thing I’d say is that it’s a bit of a beast when it comes to features—so many little touches that make it feel like a well-tuned machine. I’ve kept it in good shape, and I’ve used it regularly across the Scottish Borders, from small villages to the hills.
It’s not a flashy car, but it does what it’s meant to do—smooth, quiet, reliable. I’m not selling it for a quick profit, just because I’ve decided to switch to a different kind of vehicle. It’s still a great driver, and I’ve loved it over the years.
If you’re looking for something solid, practical, and well-equipped without the price tag of a luxury SUV, this might be worth a look. I’m happy to chat about it—no pressure, just real talk.
(Price is £21,663 — that’s not something I’m going to mention in the title, but if you’re curious, I can share it.)
