This 2021 Nissan Qashqin has been sitting in my driveway in pentraeth, Isle of Anglesey for a while now — mostly because I’ve been doing a lot of local driving and just wanted to keep a reliable, practical car on hand.

It’s a manual, so I’m not going to lie — I’ve never driven a car with a stick shift in a long time, but it still feels solid, especially on the road. The seats are comfy, the cabin is clean, and it’s got that nice, quiet cabin feel — especially with the panoramic glass roof and the ambient lighting around the centre console.

I’ve kept it well maintained, and the tech side is actually pretty good: full digital display, parking sensors all round, lane departure warnings, and even traffic sign recognition that adjusts speed automatically. The driver’s side has a lot of little touches — like heated mirrors, auto dimming rear view, and even a rain sensor that knows when to turn the wipers on.

Inside, it’s cloth upholstery with leather trim on the steering wheel and gear knob — not flashy, but feels premium. The seats are adjustable, and there’s good storage space with cupholders, bottle holders, and even a rear armrest with two cupholders. The rear seats fold down easily, and there’s a 60/40 split bench — perfect for family trips or just having room for a bit of extra stuff.

I’ve used it for everything from short local runs to weekend getaways, and it’s held up well. The only thing I’d say is that I’ve never actually done a full MOT, so if you’re looking for a car that’s been fully checked, this might not be the one.

I’m not selling it because I need to — I just wanted to get rid of it after a few years of regular use. It’s not a show car, but it’s been practical, reliable, and has a solid build.
