Victorian copper pot

This old copper pot is a real gem – I found it tucked away in a shed at my place in badminton, South Gloucestershire. It’s probably from the Victorian era and might have been used in a workhouse back in the day, though I can’t be sure. Rare stuff like this doesn’t come up often, and this one’s in amazing condition. The edge has been rolled a bit, giving it a nice smooth, almost polished look – like something out of an old design magazine. It’s quite heavy, about 5kg, solid copper with a rich, deep patina – a mix of leather-like brown and deep greens. My lighting isn’t great, so it doesn’t really show how rich it actually is. I’ve been meaning to get rid of it for a while now, so I’m just sharing it with anyone who might actually want to see it in person. It’s not fancy, but it’s got real history.
