2011 Volvo XC60 2.0 D3 DRIVe SE Euro 5 (s/s) 5dr Diesel
Description
I’ve had this Volvo XC60 since 2011 and it’s been a solid workhorse – both for daily drives and family trips. It’s a diesel, so it’s got that quiet, smooth engine and you can actually get 50 miles per gallon, which is crazy for a car this size. The 2.0L D3 engine runs well and doesn’t overheat, even on long trips. It’s a SE trim with the Winter Pack, which means heated front seats – super useful when it’s cold. I’ve used that a lot in the winter months. The tinted rear windows (on doors and cargo area) give a bit of privacy and make it feel more polished, especially when parked.
Safety features are good too – BLIS blind spot assist, city safety, and all the airbags (including dual-stage for driver and passenger). I’ve never had a near miss, and it helps to know the car has a good safety net.
There’s a family pack too – which includes things like a rear grocery bag holder and front storage box with cupholders. The boot’s big enough for a weekend bag or a bit of camping gear. I’ve stored things like bikes, kids’ gear, and even a small caravan at one point.
Inside, it’s clean and tidy. The 5-inch screen has Bluetooth, cruise control, and climate control – not flashy, but works well. I’ve got a 12V socket at the front and one at the back, which is handy when you’re doing a road trip or just need to charge a phone.
I’ve kept it well maintained, and it’s been mostly driven gently. The alloy wheels are 17-inch Seegin ones, and the chrome trim gives it a nice finish. The seats are still comfy, and the front reading lights and parking ticket holder come in handy.
I’m moving to goodwick, Pembrokeshire, and it’s just a bit of a drive from where I live now. I’m happy to send it to anyone within 40 miles – no hassle, just a drop-off. It’s not flashy, but it’s reliable, practical, and has a good mix of features for everyday use.
I’ve had it for over a decade, and it still runs fine. I’m not selling it to impress, just because I’ve moved and it’s time to hand it over. The price is £1,795.50, but that’s not really the point – it’s just a car I’ve used, and I’m giving it away to someone who’ll use it properly.
