Triumph Thunderbird 1600 2012

Description

So, I’ve been meaning to part with this bike for a while now — it’s not exactly a daily driver, but I’ve always loved it. The 2012 Thunderbird 1600 is a solid, well-maintained machine with a clean look and a smooth ride. I’ve kept it pretty simple — minimal wet weather, mostly dry rides, and it’s been properly looked after.

It’s currently showing 29,121 miles — might tick up a bit if the weather stays nice. Got a full service at 23,834 by Pure Triumph in Wellingborough, and it’s got 7 service stamps to show for it. The extras are all there: dresser bars front and back, highway pegs, chrome front spotlights, S/S radiator guard, Dart screen, backrest, and sissy bars.

Just had new Avon Cobra Chrome tyres (front and rear), new rear wheel bearings, and fresh brake pads — all done recently. It runs and rides just as well as it looks. Comes with the service book, owner’s handbook, two keys, and all the paperwork. MOT’s valid until 30th April 2026.

Price is £4,950 — no silly offers, no parts. It’s not something I’m rushing to sell, but I’ve got a new project on the go and this one’s going to find a better home. It’s based in par, Cornwall now, so if you’re local or planning a ride through the area, I can probably arrange a quick meet-up. Just don’t expect it to be a weekend warrior — it’s more of a weekend treat, really.
