This Vauxhall Viva SL is one of those cars I’ve actually liked over the years – solid, practical, and surprisingly roomy for a small hatch. It’s got just under 40k miles and I’ve been keeping it well looked after, so it’s still in great shape inside and out.

I’ve had it serviced regularly – every few thousand miles, actually – with the last one done in March 2025 at 38,759 miles. The record shows clean service history at 3k, 7.8k, 13.6k, 19.4k, 22.2k, 26.3k, 30.3k, 34.6k, and now 38.8k. All those jobs were done properly by proper mechanics, and I’ve never had any major issues.

It’s got climate control, cruise control, speed limiter, tinted windows, electric front windows, and a handy interior tailgate handle – not a lot of frills, but what you need for a daily driver. There’s also ESP and safety belt pretensioners, which I’m glad I have for peace of mind.

I picked it up from a local garage in isle-of-benbecula, A865, and it’s been sitting there quietly since. I’ve not driven it much in the last few years, mostly just for short trips around the island, so it’s kept up nicely.

I’m not sure how much it’s worth, but I’ve seen it listed at around £4,945 – not sure if that’s fair, but it’s what I’ve been told. I’m not selling it to anyone for a quick profit, just looking to get it off my hands and maybe swap it for something new.
