Description

I’ve got this old Planet Gong album — Camembert Electrique — from 1974, pressed on vinyl by Virgin Records (VC 502). It’s one of those rare ones that people forget about, but back in the day, it was a real standout. The label’s got that black and white design with two virgins and a dragon — pretty iconic. Originally recorded in France in '71, it’s got that early Gnome vibe with the “radio gnome” voice, and tracks like “Squeezing Sponges Over Policemen’s Heads” are just wild.

The sleeve is a bit worn from being on a shelf, but not bad — minimal shelf marks. The vinyl itself is near mint, and I’ve only played it a couple of times, then put it away for years. It’s been on tape a few times, not really listened to much after that.

I bought it a while back and only recently decided to part with it. It sounds way better on vinyl than on CD, which is why I’m keeping it. It’s a real cult classic, and I’ve got a good copy.

It’s £63, so if you’re serious about it, drop me a message. I’ll show it to you in person — no fancy selling, just a real record from a real band. Cash and collect preferred, but I’ll take reasonable offers.

Photos are a must — look at them properly before you decide. I’ve only used it a few times, so it’s still in great shape for a record that’s been around for decades.
