2019 Kia Sportage 1.6T GDi GT-Line S 5dr DCT Auto [AWD] Estate Petrol Automatic
Description
So, I’ve been keeping this car for a few years now — it’s a 2019 Kia Sportage, the GT-Line S version with the 1.6T engine and automatic transmission. It’s got all the modern bits: 360-degree camera, 8-inch touchscreen with European maps and traffic updates, and both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay with voice control. I use it every day, and it’s been pretty reliable.Inside, it’s got a JBL premium sound system — 8 speakers, a subwoofer, and a front centre speaker — all powered by an external amp. The seats are 10-way driver and 8-way passenger adjustable, with memory settings, and there’s leather on the steering wheel and armrests. The dashboard is clean, with a digital clock, trip computer, and all sorts of driver aids.
Safety features are solid: blind spot warning, lane keep assist, forward collision avoidance, driver attention warning, and even a welcome/follow-me-home light. There’s also smart cruise control with stop-and-go, which I’ve found super handy on motorways. The wipers are speed-sensitive, and the front wipers have rain sensing.
It’s got a panoramic sunroof, heated mirrors, power windows, automatic headlights, and all the little touches like LED daytime running lights, fog lights, and a dark chrome front grille. The wheels have black arch mouldings and side sills, and the doors have body-colour handles with chrome trim.
I bought it new from a dealer back in the day — Glyn Hopkin group used to have a lot of these in stock. They’ve been a solid player in the UK, especially in the Southeast, with over 250,00 as a customer base. I’ve seen a few of these in their fleet, and they’ve kept a good track record on service and parts.
I’m based in Lancaster, Lancashire now, and I’ve been using it for my commute and weekend trips. It’s a solid family car with good tech and comfort. I’ve kept it well, and it’s not been on the road much past its 60,000-mile mark. It’s not flashy, but it works — and I’m not selling it for a lot of money. It’s just time to move on.
If you’re in the area and want to take a look, I can arrange a viewing. No pressure — just a real car, used, but not worn out.
