Vintage DENTON CYCLES bike with Reynolds 531 tubing
Description
I’ve had this DENTON CYCLES bike for years and it’s been a real workhorse around the Dales. It’s a solid 57cm frame with lugged steel parts and original Reynolds 531 Magnum tubing – that’s the kind of build you’d see in the 70s, when bikes were built to last. The frame’s black with classic white DENTON decals, and it’s got the original SUNTOUR VX 12-speed setup (6x2), WEINMANN Type 730 brakes, and SKS mudguards – all still in good shape.I swapped out the old handlebars for a modern flat Marin alloy set for more comfort, so it’s easier to ride in the morning or on a pub run. It’s not flashy, but it’s actually very rideable and handles well. I’ve used it regularly over the years, mostly around Wirksworth and the Derbyshire Dales – great for getting around without the hassle of a car.
It’s not perfect, but it’s in solid condition and still works well. I’m selling it because I’ve been doing a bit of cycling with a new bike lately, and this one has a nice history. Price is £72 – fair for a well-used vintage piece with real character.
