So, I’ve had this 2016 Golf R for a few years now and honestly, it’s been a joy to drive. It’s the Lapiz Blue version – that vibrant colour really stands out. Got an HPI clear, two keys, and full service history right through to 86k miles. Last service was at 84k, and it’s been properly looked after every time. MOT runs till March 2026, so I’ve got plenty of time before I need to get it checked again.

All four wheels have new tyres, brakes are fresh (front and rear), and it has parking sensors, electric windows, and pulls smoothly in every gear – that little "poke" it gives when you floor it is still there, especially in race mode. It’s got 296bhp, and if you turn on race mode, it actually pops and bangs a bit – I don’t know if that’s supposed to be fun or just a bit wild, but I like it. Upgraded alloys too, just no mechanical mods – I did a res delete, which is what I needed to keep it running smoothly.
