This 2021 Vauxhall Combo Life has been sitting in my garage in Baldock, North Hertfordshire, mostly just being a reliable workhorse. It’s a manual, 5-door estate with a 1.2-litre engine – not flashy, but gets the job done.

The inside is clean and tidy, with all the modern bits still working: cruise control, driver drowsiness alert, lane departure warning, and a digital display showing things like fuel economy and trip info. I’ve used the smartphone projection and steering wheel controls a few times, and it’s actually pretty handy.

It has all the safety stuff – ABS, parking sensors, forward collision warning, and a rear camera system. The seats are still comfy, with a 60/40 split fold in the second row. The cabin is well insulated, and the tinted glass and demist vents keep things nice in all sorts of weather.

I’ve kept it well maintained, and the only thing I’ve done is a few minor service checks. It’s not a show car, but it’s solid and reliable – perfect for daily use or weekend drives.

I’ve been looking at selling it because I’ve recently switched to a different kind of vehicle, but I’m happy to part with it at £11,695.50 – it’s been a great car to own over the years.
