Got this old-school Mercedes Arocs on the shelf at home in Crewkerne, Somerset — it’s been a solid workhorse for years. It’s a 2014 6x4 tractor unit with a full load of features: hydraulics for trailers, double drive rear axle, air suspension, sliding 5th wheel, hub reduction axles, and a single bunk sleeper cab. Fitted with all the modern bits — reversing and cyclist awareness cameras, engine brake, locking diffs, air conditioning, electric windows, mirrors, sun visor, sunroof, heated mirrors, fridge, cruise control, multi-function steering wheel, radio with CD player, digital card tacho, Euro 6 compliance, and ULEZ ready.

It’s not the flashiest, but it’s been properly maintained and has a solid history. The V5 is with me, and I’ve had it through a few different jobs — from haulage to site work — and it’s held up well.
