Description

So, I’ve had this Cupra Leon for about a year now and honestly, it’s been a proper joy to drive. It’s a 2023 model, 1.5 TSI petrol, manual gearbox, and it’s got that classic Cupra edge — sharp handling, good power delivery, and a bit of that sporty vibe you’d expect.

The drive modes are actually pretty useful — you can switch between Comfort, Cupra, Sport, and even a custom mode if you want to tweak it. The digital cockpit is clean and easy to use, and I’ve got Apple CarPlay and Android Auto set up wirelessly, which is a big plus. Mirror Link works too, so I can mirror my phone screen into the dash without any hassle.

Safety features are solid: forward collision warning, lane assist, parking sensors (both front and rear), and a rear view camera. I’ve even got the E-call feature — if something goes wrong, it can automatically alert emergency services. The seats are sports seats with leather trim and a flat-bottomed wheel, and the steering wheel has perforations and gear paddles — feels great to grip.

Inside, it’s got a good amount of storage — storage pockets on the front seats, a 3-seater bench in the second row, and a 60/40 split rear bench with an armrest. There’s also a 12V supply in the centre console and plenty of little touches like ambient lighting, auto-dimming rear mirrors, and illuminated door sills.

It’s got a lot of tech under the skin — USB Type C ports in four places, rain-sensing wipers, heated and folding mirrors, LED headlights with dynamic turn signals, and even a third brake light. The rear diffuser and twin exhausts give it that cupra look, and the body-coloured bumpers and dark tinted rear windows really set it apart.

I’ve kept it well-maintained, and it’s not far from the city — I live in Lauder, Scottish Borders. It’s been a great car for daily use and weekend drives, and I’m not planning on selling it anytime soon.

It’s sitting in my driveway, and I’m just thinking about what to do with it next. If you’re interested, I’m happy to chat — no pressure, just a real honest take on what it’s like to own one.

Price is £17,549.10 — I’ve kept it fairly low, and I’ve not done much to it beyond regular servicing and maintenance. I’ve been driving it regularly, and it’s been reliable.

(Just a note — I work in the motor trade, so I know cars fairly well. Not a showroom, not a sales job — just a regular person who likes driving and keeps things well cared for.)
