Astra VXR with keyless and push start
Description
Got this Astra VXR back from the garage a few months ago after I finally got my own car back — it’s been sitting in the shed for a while, but I’ve been meaning to sort it out. It’s a 2004 model, keyless with push start, and’s done 161k miles. Doesn’t feel like it’s had much wear — drives like it’s never been driven hard, which is surprising given the mileage.I can’t be 100% sure about the engine — might’ve had another one at some point, but it runs smooth as silk. No leaks, gearbox is solid, no whining or movement. Pulls like a train, and I think it’s probably had a remap.
It’s got a few bits I’ve upgraded: new front and middle pipes with a cobra back box, new rear shockers and coil springs, fresh coolant hose, floor mats, and wind deflectors. The alloys are aftermarket, with Michelin Pilot tyres all round — one of them does have a slow puncture, but it takes a few weeks to go down.
There’s a bit of body work — some marks and stone chips, and a small patch under the fuel cap that’s just a bit of filler, easy to fix. Front splitter’s there too.
It’s taxed and MOTed, and I’m happy to take you out for a run if you’re interested. The only things I’d mention are a few minor faults — EML light comes on when I plug it in, and the airbag light flickers (squib issue). I’ve only spent £600 on it myself, and it’s been sitting in pontyclun, Rhondda Cynon Taf.
No offers, no price talks — just a solid, low-maintenance car that’s been sitting idle and now I’m happy to part with it. If you’re looking for something reliable and easy to drive, this might just be your kind of car.
