Got this hen house from Solway Recycling – it’s basically a no-fuss, long-lasting home for 6 to 8 hens. I’ve had it for a few months now and it’s been a real game-changer. No wood means no red mites nesting in gaps, which I’ve found a big relief. The floor’s removable, so cleaning’s easy, and it’s got two perches, two outside nest boxes, and two doors – handy for getting in and out without disturbing the hens. Internal floor is 98cm x 75cm, weighs 41.8kg, and I’ve never had to do any maintenance on it. It’s sitting at craven-arms, Shropshire, and I’m just passing it on. It’s been a solid investment – and honestly, it’s one of the few things I’ve kept around that hasn’t needed a single fix.
