Mid century sofa upcycle project

Description

I made this mid century sofa suite myself a few years ago – it’s the original frame, just reupholstered in rich green velvet. The cushions are still in decent shape, but the wood’s showing its age, one arm’s a bit off and the webbing’s fraying. I didn’t have the time to fix it properly, so it’s more of a love letter to the piece than a finished restoration. It’s not perfect, but it’s got soul. I’ve been meaning to tidy it up and pass it on – it’s been in the same place in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, for years. If you’re into vintage pieces with a bit of character, it’s worth a look.
