Got this Peugeot Vitus from back in 1990 — one of those rare bikes that just feels right. It’s a true original, nut to bolt, no swaps, no modern bits. The full simplex groupset, 12-speed, still runs smooth and quiet. The lugs are stunning — you can actually see the craftsmanship. I’ve got the original receipt from ’90, and it cost £300 back then. Today that’s over 2k in today’s money — feels like a real piece of cycling history.

It’s a solid, responsive bike with sealed bottom bracket and smooth bearings. The brakes are quick and reliable — great for city riding or even some longer rides. I’d say it’s best for riders between 5'9" and 6'2" — not too short, not too tall.

I’ve kept it in good shape over the years, just like I found it. It’s not flashy, but it works — and it’s one of the few bikes like this still around in original form.
