2003 Volkswagen Beetle 2.0 S Cabriolet Euro 4 2dr Convertible Petrol Manual
Description
So, I’ve had this 2003 VW Beetle S Cabriolet for a few years now — it’s one of those cars that just feels right when you drive it. It’s a 2.0 litre petrol engine, manual gearbox, and it’s got that classic Beetle look with the real charm of a proper old-school design. I bought it back when I was moving to llansanffraid, Ceredigion, and it’s been a solid daily driver ever since. The S trim means it’s got the core features you’d expect — good interior, solid build, and it’s not flashy, which is actually kind of nice. It runs well, the mechanics are solid, and the CO2 emissions are low for a car of its age — not a huge environmental hero, but it’s better than most in its class.
I’ve had it serviced regularly and kept it pretty well maintained. The safety features are decent for the time, and the belt pretensioners are still working fine.
I’m not selling it because I need the cash — I just want to share it with someone who might actually enjoy driving something with a bit of character. It’s not flashy, it’s not the fastest, but it’s got a real sense of personality.
It’s worth noting it’s on the road with a fair bit of mileage and has been kept well, so it’s not a showroom-ready gem, but it’s been reliable and comfortable for years.
I’ve got a local garage (PMC Cars / Moulsham Motors) that checks every car with an HPI, and I’ve got a 3-month / 3,000-mile warranty included — can extend that through RAC if you want. They’re a small, friendly shop with no pressure, just real people who know their cars.
If you’re looking for something with a bit of soul and not too much fuss, this might be your kind of car.
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am–5pm, Saturday 9am–5pm, Sunday 10am–4pm.
(All info from my local garage — I’m just passing it along.)
